Ripoff charged 5.48 for a call to guyana i know no one there my phone service removed the charge talked to a rude rep was i was responsible for the call that took place while i was at work no one was home these people need to be stopped guyana

I was charged 5.48 for a call to guyana, i know no-one in such country my phone service removed the charge and after talking to a rude rep they told me i was responsible for the call that i know nothing about the call took place while i was at work so no one was home at the time these people need to be stopped plain and simple

Usbi charged me 5.48 for a call made to guyana. I know no-one in guyana, didn't even know where this country was on the map, until i spoke to some people, and looked it up myself. I called my phone carrier and explained to them that i did not make this call and could they please remove it from my bill, they accomodated me. I then was told to call 1-888-481-8724, and speak to one of the represenitives, and so i did after a nearly 15 minute wait on hold. I then spoke with a very rude individual who told me they would send me a bill for the amount above. I told her my company removed it, she said she would not remove it and that i was responsible for the bill since it was traced back to my line, she asked me if i had an alarm, a fax machine, and then if i had a computer, i told i had a computer but none of the other items, she said that is how the call was made. I told her i did not make this call nor do i know anyone in this country. She became increasingly agitated and would not give me any information except that i woud get a bill directly from them, and i would have to pay for it. I don't understand, after reading all these complaints from all these people, how are these
individuals getting away with this, and who is going to put an end to this. The last thing i want is to be sent to collections over 5 bucks, what really pisses me off is i don't know who made it, and especially to this country. Of all places... It makes no sense at all to me. Someone needs to be held accountable for the dirty deeds here. All these people that are filing these complaints can't be lying there has to be some validity to this.

I hope that someone contacts me, i'm willing to talk to anyone in the legal field, sign anything petition, what ever it takes to stop this kind of stuff from happening. O and i forgot she did say to me, what i can do for you is put a block on my home phone, so this never happens again. Imagine that... Free at charge. Ooo scary thought. Again i am open to suggestions, and willing to speak to a professional person regarding this matter.
