I worked at wal-mart as an associate for almost a year. I was a licensed machine operator (who never got a raise for that) I spoke spanish for the floor crew to understand, I unloaded trucks. First I started dating a mexican and all employees were saying things like maybe she is sleeping with all of them and one employee even wrote my name in the bathroom stall.
When I went to management to get it to stop, they told me that if I wanted everyone off my back then I shouldn't be with him.
Next, me and the guy I worked with had to unload a truck one night with no help at all. We called for help but everyone was on break and the managers said no. That morning our department manager was mad because we didn't get nothing done. We told him what had happened and he told the store manager. The two night managers almost lost their jobs.
About a week or two later me and the guy both lost our jobs! I lost mine for going to the bathroom while I was on my premenstrual cycle. They called it excessive break and I had to sign a paper to that. (termination paper)
So now over a year has passed and I had a friend who works in accounting (at a different wal-mart) look into my files from wal-mart there she found that my termination paper read gross misconduct (something I was and am competely unaware of) which usually means cursing or fighting. So I called 2 weeks ago to get a copy of my termination paper and I still have not gotten it. And when you are terminated you have to sign a termination paper I never signed to gross misconduct so it proves that they tampered with my file and now I am uneligable to work at walmart.
After what they did I would never go back anyway. But for everyone reading this if you work at wal-mart be careful because you never know what they will do to you or for your record
