Is Fraudulent Dishonest Rip-off Scam-Artist Company

I used a janitorial maintenance company called Buildingworks USA for a few months this year. They did such shoddy work after demanding to be paid in ADVANCE each month, that I decided to investigate these clowns.

It turns out that I was lied to and defrauded from the beginning. They told me that they only used company employees to perform their cleaning and maintenance services. It turns out that they acutally sent incompetent and disgruntled CONTRACTORS to my building - not their own employees.

A lie is a lie, but when you produce documents and claim they back up your lie, that is another matter. We must, for our own liability reasons, get proof of various forms of liability insurance that all our vendors must carry on their EMPLOYEES. They sent us copies of two different insurance policies which cover the "leased employees" of a company called Gevity. We were lead to believe that the janitorial personnel they sent to our builing were covered by these policies.

After talking with the janitor they provided, I started to suspect that he wasn't a direct employee or even a leased employee of Buildingworks USA. I fianlly got him to admit that he was an independent contractor and that Buildingworks USA makes a habit of recruiting and training FRANCHISEES to operate as INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS.

This presented a very bad situation for me as a facilities manager. I am charged with the security of our buildings and property. I am expected to do my due dilligence before giving a vendor keys to our facilites, so when I get lied to, it not only compromises our security, but my job is put at risk.

To all companies who use or are considering using Buildingworks USA - BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!

They pass off INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR FRANCHISEE companies as their own employees. I have worked as a facilities manager for enough companies to know how much of a liability and a compromising situation you can be put in by being milsed in this manner. They are claiming these workers are covered by their libality insurance, bonding and workers compensation insurance policies when they are not! Fraud fraud fraud!!!
