The union city hollywood video has several times tried to claim late fees on movies i returned early. I have been in the store several times and heard other customers in front of me in line being told they have late fees or movies not returned. The custumer claims the movie was returned on time. The employee goes to check and the movie will be sitting on their shelf. A few times i have heard the employee tell the customer "well the movie was returned the day it was rented out by another customer at the same exact time". Then the employee further states " sometimes the movie will not get scaned right but still put back on the shelf. Then when someone else goes to rent it at that time it will have to be checked in in order for it to be rented back out" so what happens is you can return a movie on time yet if not scaned right and put back on the shelf it will remain unreturned and late fees will keep adding up until someone rents it back out. If it is a older not so rented movie then it can sit on the shelf a long time and just keep adding up late fees.
