2 yrs i rented from this complex. But when it came time to move out they lied and wouldn't give me my deposit back. Tony walked my apt on jan 30 10. He said my apt was perfect and nothing wrong with my apt. Tony said i would get my 150 deposit back.in feb 10 i got a letter stating i moved out in feb and i owe them over 700$. I called back and asked why i owe them when i didn't move out in feb, that i moved out in jan. I spoke with cynthia and she said it was her mistake and she would take out the 25$ for the carpet fee and my last month water bill. Cynthia told me i would be getting 36$ back and if that was ok with me. I said that was fine and we hung up. Come march i called back and asked why i have not received my money back. Tony said i was not getting any money back. They said they resent out my 2nd statement and it shows why i'm not getting any money. I told them i never received the 2nd statement. They had the wrong address on file. They said i gave them the wrong address. Ok so how is it i got the 1st statement saying i owe them over 700$ and they had the right address on fine but now they send a 2nd statement and said they have a different address on fine and that's why i never got the 2nd statement. They changed it in the pc and said cynthia would call me soon as she got back from lunch. She never called back. I called again a few days later and spoke with cynthia. She said the address on file is what they sent the statements to. I said how is it you have it right and i got the first one that said i owe over 700$ but then you correct and said you would sent out a 2nd one and now you have the wrong address on file. She said she is just going by whats on her pc. She also said she could charge me more money and i would still owe them that they are just letting me out without owing them more money. She said there was damage in the apt. I told her no there is not damage and tony said my apt was perfect. I even have pic of my apt and how there was no damage in it. She said i just misunderstood her and that she said she was not going to charge me for all the damage and would just call it even. I said there was no damage, i left the apt perfect. I asked for her boss number and she said if i speak to her boss, that i just might be charged the full amount and will owe them money. I called the number she gave me and no one answers.
I am not the only one they have done this with. I know of 2 other renters they would lose there checks and charge them late fees. When they would fight it then the lost check would some how slow up or they would just say they wont charge them late fees. Or if they try and pay they wouldn't take there check and said they are just going to a crew more late fees. Now that doesn't make since. They try and pay, they wont take the check and tell them they are just going to a crew more and more late fees. What kind of business is this place running.
In the 2yrs i lived in that hell hole they went throughout 3 new mgrs and full staff.
They lie, cheat and stealing money from renters, and then tell them if they complain they will charge them more money.
