RIPOFF Lost My Payments Wants A Check Over The Phone For What They Lost, stalled my statements, lost my payments, and then told me they'd sent me a bill too many times and wouldn't send me a current one

I was a customer with Fingerhut for two years.in that time, I had their five star credit rating for paying my bill on time each month.

Recently, I moved and wasn't getting my statements from them. When I called them they told me that my post office was losing them because they were being sent to me.

I took down the payment address and sent them a money order anyways for the amount of my bill after being assured that it would post in time to avoid a late fee.

The next month, I still didn't get a statement. Again, I called them and was told they were being sent. I once again sent them a money order.

The third month, I called and asked for the third time about my statements and was told that they were sent and my account was two months past due. After getting a total of the past due amount, it was decided that my two money orders didn't post.

I asked what I could do about this and was told their computer system was down and that I should call the next day. The next day I called again and was told there was nothing they could do about the missing money.

I called again at a later time and talked to someone else and was told that they would investigate my situation and get back with me. Meanwhile, I was assured that a current statement would be sent.

A week ago, I received a call from a rep who reported to me that my statements had been stalled and he wanted to know if I wanted to continue to get them.in other words after being told four times that my post office was losing them, they were never being sent after all.

I spoke with this rep who reopened my account and after I questioned about the investigation into the lost payments, he directed me to call a different number.

I called the different number and was told that once again their system was down and that I should call back in two hours. But, when I called back, they were closed.

Three days later, I received a phone call from Fingerhut. The rep told me that my account was 60 days past due. I explained to him what was happening and asked about the investigation I was told would take place.

He went on to tell me that there was not going to be an investigation and it was my problem to find out where they were. He proceeded to tell me that I could pay a check over the phone for the past due amount.

Keep in mind that I still have no bill. So, I refused stating that I wanted my bill first before I sent any more money. He told me that they had already sent my bill so many times that they wouldn't be doing it again and I was to pay by check today.

I told them once again that I wouldn't send any more money until I had a bill and I told him that it was their responsibility to make sure that I got my bill, at which he told me that I was wrong and it wasn't their responsibility.

So my question is who's resposibility is it?
