Athroom remodeling gone wrong

On March 25-26, Sears worked in my home on a bathroom remodeling project. When the wall system was about to be installed, it was discovered that Sears had the wrong wall color! Therefore, the project was stopped; leaving me with a newly installed acrylic tub but no wall covering. On April 6, Sears completed the surround wall unit (this time with the right color). After three days, deep scratches were noticed on the bottom of the tub. On April 10, the contractor, who had to come out to adjust our water (We were left with lukewarm to cold water.), took pictures of the scratches and submitted them to his boss. The next day his boss left an inaudible message, so I returned his call. The first thing out of his mouth was, "What in the world happened to that tub?" Before ending the call, he stated that he didn't know if anything could be done about it.in addition to the scratches, the new tub doesn't clean well at all. The project consultant sold us on an acrylic tub by stating that the material was maintenance free, and that it would take very little effort to clean it. Okay, I am having to scrub to get it somewhat clean. I say somewhat because I can never completely get the bottom of the tub to be clean.instead, I find myself moving soap scum from one location to the next! Needless to say, we have been trying to get this issue resoloved, but it has fallen on deaf ears. We have been told serveral times that someone would contact us, but apparently no one on the Sears team seems to take this issue seriously. We even contacted the customer service line (4/15-4/18), and they too lied about having someone contact us within 48 hours. Meanwhile, we are stuck with a cheap tub that continues to get scratches and traps dirt. I absolutely do not have money to waste on a product that I can't bear to use. The tub we had prior to this was a blessing for 18 years! I don't know what it will take for Sears to honor their so-called peace of mind warranty. Which by the way, we still have not received a comprehensive labor and materials warranty. I am a mother of three and a school teacher, so my time is limited. However, I have been lied to and scammed; therefore, I will continue to find the time to fight this battle. After all, Sears ought to live up to the reputation it once had!
