We are in the short-sale process with Green Tree Servicing. We purchased a house with a conventional loan several years ago and did everything right, put 20% down, qualified with our income and made all payments on time for years. When the economy went south we lost nearly 50% of our household income and nearly 70% of the value of our home. We've been in the short-sale process for several months now and are just waiting for approval. We have a cash-buyer lined up and eager to purchase. The problem is a foreclosure date is set for two weeks from now. We called Green Tree several times and everyone who we've spoken to has been really rude to us. Without knowing our hardship or our financial position the representatives from Green-tree have been rude and condescending. We never choose for the economy and housing market to be ruined and we played no part in it's downfall.in spite of this, the employees at Green Tree have been accusatory, heartless and seem more than willing to foreclose on our property even though we've had a buyer lined up and ready to purchase the house for cash for several months now.
