We purchased a custome home that was built by Miller Macfarlane Builders Inc. The owners are Gerry Heide and Jim Miller who were very kind and genuine during the purchase and closing process. The contract included a 1 yr warranty. After the closing we never heard from Gerry Heide and any follow up was done through Jim Miller. There were items that needed to be handled and repaired immediately after purchase however Jim was rarely available and didn't return phone calls. The most important matters that were never addressed were the replacement of a defective bedroom ceiling fan the lack of insulation in the attic above the master bedroom and bath. The drywall tape and ceiling cracked due to the lack of insulation. When we could no longer reach Jim we emailed Gerry Heide who's only response was that he tthought all the issues were addressed and resolved. These builders have failed to communicate with each other and had lack of caring and good business ethics after they made their money at closing.
