Originally my daughter signed up with T-mobile in November of 08. At that time they promptly lost her first months payment. She had to provide not only once but multiple times she was requested to drive 40 miles to the nearest store and provide them with a bank statement. She also had to continue fighting with the lousy customer service on the phone as they continually lost the information the store sent to them to continue her service. At the time she signed up with them she had text service also on her phone. The following month in December they blocked her text messages, she called repeatedly to have it fixed. They advised her they did not know why it was blocked but they charged her anyway. Now in February they advised her they would not refund the $20 for unlimited text messages because on her account one of there customer service reps said she wanted text messages blocked. Then she had to return a phone and get it replaced. They then debited the price of the phone out of her checking account. When she inquired about a refund they promised one to be sent either credit back in the checking account or they would send a check. That was on 1/29/09 also on 1/30/09 when she called to give them the tracking number. Now on 2/6/09 when she called to inquire on her refund they said none would be sent that you only have 7 days to return it. I myself had a T-mobile account and I have promptly canceled it... Consumer BEWARE they are a terrible company to deal with. They walk a very fine line of what is legal.
