RIPOFF $Hundreds$ charged for text messaging cash cow for T-Mobile Ruining Credit

My mother had a t-mobile phone, service for $99 per month. She added my son to her account for supposedly $39.00 per month, including text messaging. The first bill was over $300 and got progressively higher and higher, the last bill before we moved the service was $662 which we have refused to pay and they are threatening a lawsuit.

My mother paid in excess of $400-$500 every month for $150 service. The phone bills were 70-80 pages long with AOL messages from AOL pinging sometimes 5 per second and T-Mobile charges $. 05 per message! I was outraged, first getting onto my son. But when I saw what was happening, he was being text messaged at school, in the middle of the night, all night long. For him to be using text messaging this much, he would have had to spend 12-15 hours per day on the phone! T-mobile said there was nothing they could do about limiting this or even giving 'unlimited' messaging. They said they had to have a way to get in touch with their customers. I said, fine, but I am a computer consultant.

You can limit how this functionality is used, but why should they... THEY ARE GETTING THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS EVERY MONTH! You cannot cancel text messaging service, because they won't let you, yet you have no control over who and how much someone messages you. I took my son's phone, turned it off, put it away for exactly one week. We were charged over $150 that week alone for text messages. I canceled our service and they are still trying to collect text messaging charges for a month after we canceled our service! I am attempting to get a class action suit against T-mobile.

If you have any interest or know of anyone who is of the same mind or has started litigation, please let me know. THIS IS FRAUDULENT BEHAVIOR OF THE WORST KIND!!! My mom is elderly and just paid the bill, but when I was helping her pay the bill one day and saw the 90-page bill, I was furious. T-mobile customer service is the most incompetent, they never follow up and credits were never put on this account. Please reply to this if you are interested in being a party to this suit!
