I've been on the phone twice about this now with T-Mobile, except this time I've been on the phone with a T-Mobile support person for over an hour and she still can't tell me how much they are charging me for a text message. T-Mobile uses this thing called a flex-account which is separate from your regular bill. You have to add money to it if you want to send out text messages on your cell phone. But the problem is that they can't provide you with any accounting detail on this account. So you can't tell how your flex-account balance mysteriously disappears. I've paid a total of $70.00 into this account and it then it gets reduced to $0.00 and then text messages start getting blocked, both sending and receiving. So then I go online to see the charges on this account and all they list is a list of "transactions" with no amounts listed for the transaction so you can't audit your flex account and see how much they are charging you.
