Last night I returned a rental car and used one of my credit cards to pay the bill. The transaction was approved. I took a taxi from the rental car agency to my home and the drive took about 15 minutes. I attempted to use the card to pay the cab fare, but the card declined. The card was not near the limit so I was not aware why it declined. This morning I logged onto the credit card website and noticed that my account was restricted due to suspected fraudulent activity. There was a charge for $1.00 that posted on 12/1 from PGBIncSupport.com. There was also another charge for $39.95 from them that was pending. I called the fraud department and learned that they were not only aware of this scam, but had identified fraudulent charges on my card from the same scammer, but with different website names. The thing that links these all together is that they describe themselves as Direct Marketing Merchants. The description may be slightly different on each charge, but they all state they are Direct Marketers. The following are the names of the other fraudulent website names that will appear on the credit card statement: IMMORTALMCS.com, SHAKURASSUPPORT.com and HYDRASUPPORT.com. Check your past statements people, there may be more fraudulent charges that slipped by unnoticed because of the small dollar amount.
