A fraudulent charge for $1.99 appeared June 23 on my Capital One credit card. I had not used the card in a year. I reported it to the credit card company and had my card cancelled.
Before I notified the credit company, in the same time frame, but after June 23rd, they had declined a charge for $99.99 for PROFITHOUSE and restricted my credit card, so Capital One was doing its job.
Interestingly, there were 4 other fraudulent charges around the same date and I will submit usacomplaints.com for each of these: 2 charges for XPRES BERRY, 1 for MYMONEYJOB and 1 for EBAYWEB. These were all small charges, so I suspect these were test charges that they had hoped would slip through unnoticed.
