I live in south Louisiana, and have Centurylink as our local telco, Today I was eating lunch at my 87 year old mothers house and phone rang "800-401-2099" I answered, John with Centurylink wanted to speak to mom, well the account is drafted from my account so I already knew it wasn't a bill issue, no they want to sell her some more services, look I said it's lunch, Mom is too old to be dealing with all of this and it really upsets her as she dosen't understand all of this anymore and she just tell's them they gotta talk to me anyway, well this guy wanted to talk to mom or"someone who can handle the account" so I told the Mr. Shi*heed" its drafted from my acccount there isn't a problem with the bill and I wasn't paying Centurytel for Sales service, I was paying for Phone service" and to leave my old mother alone, man she is always complaining that she receives these kind of calls, So Mr. Shi*heed wouldn't stop so I told him "I'm gonna call and report to """
(You know how it is, you want to call and bother me and mom for lunch, well now I want to mess up your day too.)
So I end my call with him, all I could get outta him was "John" no ID number nothin, but I do have the tel number, so I call Centurytel's cust ser # 800-201-4099 get this new guy, dammit, like an idiot I didn't write his name down, anyway first I ask him if the 401-2099 number was theirs just in case it would have been someone pretending to be a Centlink rep, naw it was one of their numbers,
So I give him the story above and he says gonna add me to the " do not call list so ok", But guess what this Mr. Nu_Shi*heed wants to know how often I go and have lunch with mom... Man, I say "ain't that a bit personal?" Guess what??? He starts trying to get me to add DSL to the line... Now come on!!!
I tell him. I can't believe I call to bit*h about you guy's calling me at lunch to sell me something and you are going to do the same thing too?..
Alright now I want to whip someones a*, unbelievable. But i'm 47 Years old I should of guessed it... Anyway I take care of IT and Telephone services at the local hospital here so I work with the Service Tech's for CentuyLink, Man some of the best guy's you want to know, hell three of them are good friends of mine one of them is a very close friend, hell we spend alot of time together, I don't want to do something to hurt his employer, but damn... That POS Sales dept. And not the managers (I dealt with couple of them and they were good guy's too) it's those dam salesmen/women, they are some high pressure lil butt head's. Well I found out just recently that it's ok (in my area anyway,) that it is ok to give the Service Rep the order and it will count as a sale for him/her, well this is my plan, I'm never gonna call Centurylink sales again, Scr* them, I'm gonna give my order to the service tech, He or her are the one's makin it all work anyway, in the heat, the rain, the cold, those lil Panty A* sales people in their heated and cooled offices treating us customers like sh*, don't deserve it.
I just want to add its a Shame that not only do the guy's doing the Service/Technical end of the job, the ones that keep it all running, but now they gotta do the job of the sales rep's cause those lil prick's cant even handle customer relations without pissing "me" the"Customer" off.
Now the other thing i'm gonna do with Mom's phone is see if I can't get it through the local cable company, I'm not gonna be happy till I can call centurylink and tell them they lost a customer because of thei screwed up Sales Creep's!!!
