Took in my riding lawnmower with broken belt. Jesse Berry (owner) said he had to replace the bearings in the spindles and would replace the belt and sharpen the blades. He said the labor was 2 hours and the total would be $150.00.
Picked up mower and mowed for 15 minutes when the belt came off. Called Jesse, he apologized and said he'd pick it up to repair it. Waited a few days, called him again, he never returned my calls.
I finally had a neighbor look at it and he discovered nothing had been done. The bearings could not have been replaced because the screws still had some rust and dirt on them that would have come off had any tool been on it. Blades had not been sharpened, and belt that had been replaced was used, worn and had gouges in it.
I called owner back and left a voice message to tell him what I had discovered and he still does not call me back.
