Defective snapper riding mower. Replaced w / new one. Still having problems w / belt coming off after 20 min. Of mowing

Purchased a Snapper riding mower from Mason's Furniture in May. The very first day we mowed, the belt came off that turns the mower blades. We thought we had caused the problem so we put the belt back on and proceeded to finish mowing. Belt came off again.
We called the store where we purchased it and they came and got the mower and took it to a repair shop. This was done four different times with the same problem occuring each time the mower was brought back.
Finally the store agreed to order a new but same model mower. We finally got the new mower and the same problem is occuring with the new mower. The store has been great about this problem but they say the Snapper dealer is not wanting to replace another mower. According to the store owner, Snapper dealer did not replace the first mower. The store took a "loss" but that's hard to believe.
The store goes through a local finance company for credit and so the store has already been paid for the mower. Now we owe $3500 for a lawn mower that won't mow our entire yard one time without the belt coming off.
