I bought range & microwave from Sears November. It took multiple tech visits to get installed as those sceduled werenot allowed to uninstall my old microwave... Only install the new equipment... interesting since we had 1 range and 2 microwaves delivered... Spare sat in the dining room for 2.5 weeks... I bought extended service and warranty as well... Good thing... Range has been serviced now twice and I just schedudled my 3rd visit. Something is clearly wrong with the electronics in the key pad. Normally after tech visit... Everything will work fine for a month (stovetop and oven) and then oven stops responding. What happens? I can input Bake: Temperature: and then try and press Start and no repsonse... So... I cant cook in the oven. Stovetop still works... I have gone through multiple "tech support trouble shooting phone calls" having to do a" Hard This requires me to pull the range out, unplug, flip circuit breaker in garage and attempt to reset... Then as this morning... Clock doesn't respond so nothing else can be done. I'm told this morning that because the 2 previous tech visits did not have Tech using any additional parts to repair I am no further ahead than I was 10 months ago... Sears has sent gift cards for the inconveneine in the past and thats fine, however all I really want is a stove that works. I should not have to pull out my range and do a "hard reset" every month... Nor should I have to take addtiional time off work to wait for now another technician visit... That wont produce any different results than the last two. I will now be once again without a stove for another week and a half. Daily I will attempt to try the stove key pad to see if it responds... Guarantee after stove has sat another week or more and the tech gets here... It will be working again... For a month and then I will be calling for my fourth tech visit on the same applicance... Seriously I want to cry. Just want what I paid for 10 months ago - a working oven / range... One that doesnt have to be serviced every other month... I cant keep missing work to stay home and wait for technicians... What al I suppose to do? Please, please someone help me get a range the works and I promise to never call/bother anyone ever again.
