We recently purchased a new range from Eads, the first time we used the oven the top of the range go very hot and we could smell a very bad odor from the wiring under the stovetop. We turned it off and called the store but they were unresponsive. We finally got them to send out a repair man but he said that the stove had to be "burned in" and that it was ok, we tried it again but it still smelled like wiring burning so we don't use the oven because we are afraid that it will start a fire. We feel that Eads doesn't stand behind their warranty, so we will never go there again. Sears was great.
