April: Range knob not working. Cannot turn on burner. It appears stuck. Called sears repair and they came out. The repair tech said there was nothing wrong with the range and I just need to turn the knob harder. Knob still stuck a little but was at least working now.
August: Same range knob stuck again, only this time the burner is on and cannot turn off or adjust flame. Middle knob also stuck, same issue as in April; cannot turn on. So I have one burner I cannot turn off. And one I cannot turn on. Had to cut power to the range because the one we cannot turn off is just filling the kitchen up with gas. Too dangerous, in addition we have children, including a 2 year old in the house. I called sears on a Thursday to schedule appointment for repair.
Sears confirmed an appointment for Saturday over the phone. Friday, I receive an email stating my appointment was for the following Wednesday. I called Sears back & explained to them that my appointment was Saturday, Not Wednesday. They stated there is nothing in the system showing my Saturday appointment and they are all booked up so Wednesday was my appointment. So they basically lied to me, had me make arrangements to accommodate the Saturday appointment all for nothing.
So frustrated now because I already went 2 days without the range, now I must go another 5 days without it. The groceries I bought this week will now spoil because I cannot cook them. And I have to figure out how to feed my kids since all my money went into the groceries.in addition, when they do finally come out Wednesday to look at the range, I am sure they will have to order parts and then I have to wait for parts to come in & then reschedule another technician to come out to install, it could be 2-4 weeks before I get a working stove again. I am extremely disappointed & irritated.
