I checked our checking account to verify my wife's Social Security benefit was deposited and it wasn't, so ahe called Social Security and was told her benefit hyad been rerouted to another bank. We went to the Social Security office the next day and they traced it to a Bancorp account belonging to a company called Netspend or Net Spend. The agent called netspend and they said the money was in an account in my wife's name and she could withdraw some with a Visa card. We don't have a Visa card nor have we applied for one. I looked this outfit up on Google and found out they sell prepaid Visa cards. Somehow they got my wifes information and redirected her benefit to there company and I sure they charge fees. We did have her direct deposited to the Boeing Employees Credit Union which has no fees and pays ninterest on checking accounts so we had no reason or desire to change the deposit and had never heard of Netspend. We told the SS agent toput her deposit back to BECU and we have still never heard anything from Netspend how my wife can get her money or how to close the account and we don't know how they got her info to redirect her deposit and now we are living in fear that they will get mine.
