In Sept I hired this firm to obtain a loan modification from my mortgage company. Throughout this ten month process, I supplied the documents requested timely and followed up via email and phone calls as to what was going on. One day I am closing and they are arranging my time to sign the papers and the next day I'm not eligible for a modification. Every time I contacted my rep (s) they state that my file is in review. Lack of communication caused me to contact my mortgage company directly at which time I confirmed my file had been closed/declined for lack of documents requested months prior. After asking State Law Group why they continue to tell me my file is in review when it had been canceled they tell me they are dealing with their reps in the Office of the President. My mortgage company rep and I contacted that office and they also confirmed it was canceled for failure to provide documents requested and the last correspondence they had with State Law Group was months prior. I have since requested of State Law Group proof of communication with my mortgage company in which they have failed to provide me. A fax cover sheet with a stamp stating it was faxed isn't proof. Fax transmittal's and emails are and that request by me a week ago has yet to be answered.
