I loved how PODS moved all my items for me since I had no place to live immediately upon arriving in my new city. Having them store the POD for me worked out great. All that was just what I was wanting and expecting.
However, I have three complaints:
1) My initial pick-up location had a very small drive-way because I lived in a townhouse with others connected to mine. I shared a driveway with someone else. I talked to PODS customer service several times on the phone to determine if they could drop it in my driveway or not. They gave me measurements needed to fit a POD into my space. I measured and took pictures of the space. I tried to e-mail the pictures but they did not acknowledge receipt of them or told me they didn't need them. I asked them to send out a driver before the drop off date to check out my location. They attempted to do that, but he never came. On the drop-off day, the driver showed up without calling and then when he did show he told me he could not fit the POD in my driveway. He then told me the measurements I was given were wrong and that he needed more room to drop the POD than what I was told.instead he had to drop the POD about 200 feet away in a public parking space. I was forced to cart, carry or drive all my items from my garage to the POD and it made everything much more difficult not having it in the driveway.
2. The inside of the POD had a 4x4 oil stain in it from a vehicle. The stain smelled terrible and we had to cover it with paper to prevent the stain from damaging our goods. Also, I became nauseous after working in the POD for a long period of time because of the smell.
3. I completed the POD direct survey and shared this information in the survey, but all I got back was an automated response thanking me for what I shared. There was no acknowledgement of the problems I had.
I would like some sort of refund or compensation for the mis-information and damaged POD.
