On 1/20 a refrigerator was delivered to my home. The delivery itself was a nightmare with the delivery guys breaking the grille to the refrigerator while attempting to get it into my home. They forgot to install some of the parts to the doors as well. Sears is suppose to send me these replacement parts in the mail within 10 days. We'll see. Anyway the real problem is the fact that the delivery guys not only used my own personal drill to do their job. But when they were all said and done they took my drill with them. Called Sears Home Delivery, and found out that they subcontract out their deliveries. The company that delivered my refrigerator was HDL (Home Delivery Link). There is no way of getting a hold of them without going through Sears Home Delivery. So protocol was followed and I went through the proper channels in order to find out what happened to my drill. So after almost 6 hours on the telephone with numerous Sears' representatives. I was able to learn that the delivery company was claiming that it was their drill. I then dropped a bomb on them, and advised them that I had this whole incident on my surveillance cameras. Boy, how their whole demeanor changed! All of a sudden they're contacting their subcontractor HDL in order to find out what's going on. LaToya from Sears speaks with a Chris, assistant manager at HDL. Phone number 886- 0829. At first he states that the drill was theirs. When Latoya informs him that I have on video what his workers brought with them as oppose to what they left with. His story changes and the excuses start, Human error he claims. I think not. These are grown men, supposed professionals. Who readily know what tools they have/use/bring with them. Believe they're racist attitude, upon realizing that I was hispanic is what led them to take the drill, play dumb and think they could get away with it. One just had to experience their attitude while here to understand what I'am getting at. My surveillance equipment also has Audio, which enabled me to hear their comments. Therefore my opinion as to why one can't chuck it up to just human error. Their racist/spiteful attitude caught up with them. Called Sears Corporate Customer Complaint Department, and spoke with a Donna. She defended the delivery company. So I informed her as well as to the Video/Audio. She told me that I would have to take that up with Chris, assistant manager of HDL. Which told me that I was getting nowhere with my complaint in lieu of the fact that I could have/could file criminal charges against individuals doing business on their behalf. Good Ole Donna from Sears Complaint Department pretty much told me to do what I had to do. That there was nothing further that they could do for me. That Chris (HDL Assistant Manager) would return the drill. Which confirmed the fact that they (Sears/HDL) were aware of the fact that their worker (s) had taken a drill which they knew didn't belong to them. It has now been 26 hours and counting since my drill was taken. Called the Buffalo Police Dept. And filed a report. Could have the delivery guys (Adam & Mark), arrested for Larceny. If not Chris (asst. Manager), arrested for Possession of Stolen Property. When he attempts to return my drill, which he initially claimed belonged to them. Look forward to his arrival, if ever, with my drill. Want to look him in the face and see if he is going to run some of his BS excuses on me as to how/why this happened. Video/Audio paints a different picture. Todays society seems geared toward don't Lie, just Deny! Technology has changed that. Representatives of Sears, such as this Donna (Customer Complaint), should get her head out of her */sand. Advised her, if what happened to me had happened to her. Video/Audio included. She wouldn't have acted any different than I. Being that wasn't the case she just hung up. So much for Sears Customer Service. No wonder Sears is no longer the so called reputable company it once was. Lord don't like ugly and it does catch up to you!!!
