On dec 1 in malone ny i took my 2004 for freestar in for a yearly inspection, oil change, tire rotation and also ask them to check all fluids. After waitin for over an hr i paid the bill and headed home in which is about 10 miles from the monro, on my way my trasmision started to slip in which i was less then a mile home at that time, as i drove in my driveway my husband met me outside to check my fluids, well to our supprise my trasmision was empty and my iol was 2 qurts low and my tires where not rotated... I emmeditly called monro an spoke to the asst manager he told me i could bring it back in, i told him i wasnt confortable driving it with no trans fluid so i asked him would it be ok if my husband added 1 qrt of each an i would bring it in on monday the 5th. He said that was fine, as i didnt drive it till monday morning it was still slipping and i was having a magor surgery so my sister in law took it for me, she said the worked on it for about an hr or so and told her everything was fine and the work was done, she asked for paper work an they told her there was none cuz i had already paid on the 1st, from that point my van wasnt driving untill bout the 19 or the 20 and to my suprise it was still slipping, i called and spoke with a new manager and told him i would drop it off on dec 26 as i had a few apptments he stated that was fine, as i dropped it off on the 26 i recieved a phone call on the 27 and said i needed a new trasmision dip stick on the 28 i called to see what was going on and was told by the manager that he was just then ordering it, on the 29th i heard nothing, on the 30 i called and soke to the asst manager he said it wasnt in yet and that he was gonna call and see if it was in and that he would return my call in which he never did, on sat dec 31 he called me to tell me that my oil was over 2 qrts and my transmission was over 4 qtrs and that my van wouldnt go out of 1st gear, i called the main office and soke with a very rude lady by the name if lisa and she told me straight out that i would have to prove it, so as of now i am in contact with the nys attorney generals office and the consumer protection agency, has any one of use reading this has or ever had the same or simuler problem because i am fighting this till the end..
