My account was charged multiple times for the same product during a single online transaction. This resulted in the depletion of funds in my checking account. When I contacted the bank's customer service department my experience was very unpleasant due to the unwillingness of the representative to adequately review my account in order to substantiate my claim that I have no password associated with the account. I requested a supervisor's intervention. I was placed on hold indefinitely with a view of frustrating me. I had to use my cell phone to call them again while on hold in order to have a response to this endless waiting for a supervisor. They eventually confirm there is a notation to the effect. Despite an earlier resolution of this password issue when I called back I continued to have the same unpleasant experience with the above mentioned individual. I was unable to have access to my account although the merchant was in conference with us (myself and bank representative) in order to authorize release of funds that would otherwise have been available to me had it not been for the bank's mishandling of the transaction as I understood it from the merchant's delineation of what transpired during the bank's processing of this transaction resulting in my account incorrectly being charged multiple times. Customer service failed to be my advocate in this matter and caused me much emotional pain and stress instead from the lack of professionalism on the part of the individual representing the bank. To my surprise despite the graciousness on the part of the merchant this individual would not do what is expected to resolve the issue but instead accusing the merchant of possible impersonation in order to facilitate the reversal of these multiple transaction.
