After joining this dating service I was victimized by one of its non-paying customers. Reporting the customer yielded no results, as the scam artist contacted me and several others two weeks after I reported her. I emailed Tickle (AKA Emode.com) in December to cancel my subscription immediately.
Reviewing an April credit card bill I noticed that this website had charged me for another 3 months of subscription service. I emailed them immediately and asked why they were continuing to bill me. First they said I was continuing to use their service, as of May 3rd. I replied that I was no longer using their service since December, and asked them to verify that, but that I had replied to current customers writing to me. A part of their service is free, and I assumed that because I was allowed to reply to customer inquiries, they allowed me to participate although I had already cancelled. When I emailed, explaining this to them, and again asking them why they ignored my December cancellation request, they denied receiving it.
They also sent what looked like a personal reply from their customer service on May 21 from "Sidney" saying they would cancel my subscription after it expired in JULY! When I responded by threatening to expose their fraudulent activities, I received the same worded email the next day from a "Sara." One of their tricks is to keep former customers' profiles exposed unless that customer specifically requests that their profile be "hidden".
Apparently there is no way to get your profile out of their website once you have once subscribed. If a current customer writes you and you want to reply, you have to re-sign up. This whole website is absolutely inferior and less ethical than some of the more well-known dating websites like Match.com.
