November 07 I signed up for what I understood to be a one month trial of on line dating service with a company named Match.com.
I had no interest in continuing with the service after that month as it was no use to me. I thought that was that until I checked my credit card statement in Jan. 07 and discovered that Match.com were still taking money from my account.
I emailed them inorder to have them cancel my account. I got a reply in a few days from them asking me for more details as they could not locate my account.
This happened several times over the next few months, they were taking money from my credit card every month. They kept saying that they did not have enough information to cancel my account.
They had enough information to charge my credit card each month.
The only way I could stop them was to cancel my credit card, which I have done last week. If I could not have cleared my credit card I could not have cancelled it, which would have allowed the thieves at Match.com continue stealing my money.
People need to be protected from those thieves. If you sign up with them it will cost you.
