The coordination and timing of the repairman's arrival was just fine, as was his expertise. However, after informing me that fixing a simple switch on my washing machine would cost nearly $200 in parts & labor, he told me that if I didn't want him to proceed with fixing it, I would have to pay him an $85 service call fee! Now, I understand that there is a cost to dispatching a specialist to customers' homes, but I wasn't born yesterday. It may be their standard fee, but that doesn't justify it. He mentioned that the dispatcher should have told me about it, which she didn't. It's unfortunate because they'll get their money, but they'll also get a poor review on a national consumer review website. I hope it was worth it.
