The wood of my enclosed porch and deck is now rotted and splitting. I attempted to get in touch with Deck Mates, Inc. Who had issued us a 40 year warranty against rot on March 30,1990. The company had gone out of business, so I got in touch with Sears. Sears stated that the company had been sold to U.S. Remodelers, Inc., who agreed that they did take over the warranties and business from Deck Mates, Inc.;however, they no longer work on decks and enclosures, but I should get in touch with Home Depot, the company they now work for. Home Depot stated that I should again contact Sears, since that's the company who originally issued a contract. Sears personnel stated that their contract was only for the proper installation of the porch and deck enclosure (after I had faxed all of the paperwork from the original contract).
