They advertise and market the Chevy equinox 2011 model as a crossover with 32 mpg hwy mileage. False. They have released this version of the equinox with faulty transmission/engine software/firmware which only allows it to get 22 mpg hwy and 16-18mpg city. The transmission is so rough you would think you were shifting a manual yourself. Better yet you could engage and shift gears better if it were a manual transmission. When you take your foot off the gas depending where you are on the rpm's it will go ahead and roughly shift into the next higher gear. One time it shifted so rough it felt like someone had punched me in the nose. Totally unacceptable. I have been to the dealership with the same issue 3 times so far and the tech's say they drive it and it all appears normal and they state that is the way it is designed to drive. Really, with upshifts and downshift that you can feel and rough by the way. I don't think so. The kicker is they say they drive it but the mileage is the same as when i dropped it off. I have proof. They are in cohoots with GM to keep this issue under wraps I can only imagine. Why else would they bold faced lie to me.
Needless to say I am starting a case with the BBB and GM this week. I can't stress to you enough that GM is selling utter POS to the public.
