Well Lets see! I bought a 2001 Dodge Ram with 49,000 miles
within a week I had to take it to the shop because it was shifting rough every once in a while. They told me that the rear end needed to be rebuilt. So they rebuilt it and within a week I was back again because it still shifted rough, and the a/c blower went out.
They said that they didn't feel the jerking when it shifted and the a/c they replaced the blower. So I got my truck and the next day when I opened the glovebox it fell off. They broke it while fixing the a/c Whats worst is they tried gluing it back together.
(week 3) Back in the shop for the glovebox, rough shifting, broken ashtray, and no a/c again. 1 1/2 weeks later its ready.
For the glove box they had to replace the whole dashboard (which now squeeks). They replaced the ash tray and said they don't feel the rough shifting. Again! Now the a/c is a different story. I turn it in again, and when I picked it back up the the a/c broke again before i even left the lot. So they keep it for a day and say they can't find anything wrong but its working.
Well now I had to pay dodge to inspect my truck. For the rough shifting they told me a sensor in the transmission was bad. Told me the radiator was more dirty than needed. They said everything else seemed good.
Now Its been about 2 months since I bought the dodge and now its in the shop for the sqeeky dash, a/c, transmission, And cup holders that are attached to the dashboard. Which incedently was installed wrong by one of their techs.
The module on for the a/c is bad, still not replaced though. Because of the bad module I have a new sqeeky
dashboard. Because of the bad sensor in the transmission I have a rebuilt rear end.
One more thing I think they did was sold me a wrecked car. Before I bought it, it failed emissions, had a new front bumper and grill put on and doesn't have the original tailgate. Needless to say I didn't find this information out till 3 weeks after purchase.
Unless anyone can help I have a $21,000 piece of junk for 6 years, with the way its going so far I don't think its going to last 6 years.
P.S. All these trips to carmax which is 50 mile away. Have been payed for by me as far as gas goes. Plus all the miles on my vehicle. I would go to another one but carmax does not warranty another carmax.
