My husband and I recently refinanced our home through Lending Tree.in turn they sold the loan to Wells Fargo but in the process Lending Tree had suggested to us to join NBA to help pay-off the home loan faster. I was told that to join this program we had to pay a one time payment of $790.00 December 31. It was not clearly explained to us that this company will be taking $790.00 bi-weekly for a total of $1,580.00 a month, plus we have to pay Wells Fargo $848.94 bi-weekly making a total of $3,277.88 a month for a mortgage that should be $1,697.96 not $4,277.88. When I called them to explain why they had taking this money out of account without my approval all I was told that I can cancel without penalties and that my money will be refund it to my account on August 18, I check my account and the money was not there, when I called them to inquire why the money was not in my account I was told that there will be a check send to me minus $100.00 penalty and $4.00 maintainence fee after I was told that there will not be any penalties. I think this company is a scam and should be investigated. I called Lending Tree and told them what happened and was told the they don't do business with them any more because of that reason.
