06/14/2010 I called my bank to see why there was a transaction for $138.66, and to find out DIRECTV had taken it out for a bill that I did not Authorized them to take out. I had Drectv discontinue my service the beginning of May because I was laid off of my job and could not afford it any longer. I have 4 children to take care of and would ratherr have running water, electric and gas instead of Directv. I had Directv for 11 years and I never signed anything for them to take out of my bank to collect. They said it was in a service agreement that I signed and I did not sign anything about letting them take out of my account. I asked them to see the signature for them to withdrawl from my account, and they don't have it. Dirctv rep. Said "They took it out because I had a credit card number saved on their account." I asked them to remove my bank account information and they said they can not remove it unless I add a different card number. Which is bull crap, I want my bank informaton removed from the WEB to make sure no one steals my informaton and they can't remove it. If there is a way to add CREDIT CARD INFO. Their should be a way to remove it. I have to have my bank send papers to fill out for an UNAUTHORIZED WITHDRAWL PAY BACK. I always paid for my service in the 11 years and I think they had no right to take out of my account without my knowledge. I told DIRECTV that they should have sent me a letter stating they were going to take out of my account if I did not make the payment before. Now, my house payment bounced, and I never written a bad check in my life. Now, I have to pay $35 for NSF because of directv. I think they need to be sued for their neglecting to inform customers before they take money out of customers bank accounts and we should be able to remove our bank information on thier web site. I am really upset about their actons.
