At one time I decided to use Directv 's autopay feature. I provided my bank account information and had no issues. Recently my parents' went through an identity theft issue and honestly spooked, I decided to remove my bank information from Directv.
I contact Directv and provide a credit card for the auto pay. I request my bank account information be removed. I am told they will not remove my bank information, even at my request. After going back and forth, I learn that it is impossible for them to change it and there it stays in the system for as long as I keep the subscription. I am told if I change the account information to a different bank account, it will override the current information.
I find this to be entirely unsatisfactorily. I volunteer the information to them and now at my request, I can not get the information deleted.
