Well I guess it started like all the rest. On October 6th I answered an ad in the newpaper. It caught my eye because of the "no experience necessary" So I called immediately, and sceduled my appointment for the next day. So when I got there were 20 other people waiting.
I had a 1st interview with 2 other people. At 1st I thought it was a little strange, but Kevin (the owner) told us that in order to get the training started on Monday the 13th. He had to interview a few people at once. I spent about 3 minutes in there with him, and then he told me that he would call me between 5 and 5:30. Well, low and behold, I got the 2nd interview.
I was told to dress sharp and bring a notebook and plan on being there for 3-3.5 hrs. Well the 2nd interview contained 26 other people. Before I left I was told that I was able to start on Monday. Still thinking that it was a good idea, I went in on Monday. I was getting a little skeptical on the idea, but I decided to give it a few more days, but yesterday, after about a 40 minute "meeting" and a ton of screaming, yelling and cursing. The trainees were paired up with "sr Trainers" and we went out into the field to see how the business was run. I was still thinking "OK, give it a shot" but when I saw one of the trainers hanging in a car windows, i decided that that was it, i'm not making myself out to look like a prostitute for 5 bucks a bottle.
The one trainers told the other to tell me and the other new trainee what a "gump" and they were laughing about what it means. It means to have someone under their total control. I don't think that's how a good business is run.
So when I got back to the office, both Kevin and Felix (the other owner) basically got mad at me because I told that that this company isn't for me. They told me that I wasn't giving it a chance and that I need to give it more time. I have a child to support, so I can't wait around to start making money. They were just mad that I had mind of my own. They were probably thinking that I listened to my friends and family because none of them wanted me to do this.
