Yes they are back, with the same old strategy.
I was very excited to here I was invited back to a 2nd interview. I have previous management experience so I was sure it was the resume. Today I went back to Gateway Management to find 15 other people for a 2nd interview. Suddenly I got very suspicious. Let me back up.
For those of you that don't know, Gateway Management posted an add in PennySaver stating:
"*OFFICE HELP*
10-15 people needed. No experience Neccesary, great attitudes needed!"
This sounded good to me, I really need a job and decided to call. Right away the receptionist set up an interview for the next day. Seemed a bit fishy, but I really needed a job! So I went in. It was a 2 person interview (kind of weird), and after only 10 minutes I left. 30 minutes later I received a call "Congratulations you were accepted for a 2nd interview!"
At that point in time I was a little suspicious, but I needed a job so I made the appointment.
Thats where I saw the 15 other people waiting for the interview. The guy, Sam, seemed cool, he was energetic and had the right ideas for management training. He claimed no money was needed up front, and went through the business details. I never filled out an application, so afterwards after I was "accpeted" to start next week I researched some of the names of higher managers.
That takes me to this site. Apparently this company has moved around the country changing names, but Scentura Creations was a common name I found. They have been located in many areas, all I have found serious scam complaints. It all makes sense now. They left out the companies real name (calling it SCI), and now I know the true nature.
90 days of manager "training" where you sell the product on the street with no pay check. Just a small amount of commission. They used good psycology claiming it was a good idea and you would make money, not according to many testamonies I've read. Stay away, I am not going back just to waste my time. I need a solid job, not a door to door salesman commission job. If you have enough free time, than maybe. I am very dissapointed, but I will keep looking for employment.
This is a warning that they are now in LA, trying to scam the masses. Be careful, they use the name Gateway Management now in an old dentist office. Not cool.
They promise 30K per year, but they do not promise a solid wage for training. I cannot afford that.
