A.M. I Marketing where to begin. First, I went to an interview that lasted maybe 5 minutes I was then told that they would call me later that day to tell me if I had made "the cut". Unfortunatly I did and went on a shadow interview where they basically watched how I interacted with customers and told me at the end of that day I would receive a call to offer me a job. I did receive the call and hindsight is 20/20 and I made the worst career move of my life, I quit my $40,000 a year job to be paid straight commission.
My first day I felt like I was back in High School, we played pictionary and the top sellers got to run around and high five the rest of the children. Although, I was dressed in business suit I was no where near any other professionals. The first week it is stated in the paperwork that we would not be driving our own vehicles to the sales territories, but one of the "high rollers" as they call them (basically they make less than $100 a day for a 10 hour shift which is $10 an hour, where I come from a $10 an hour job usually involves cleaning toilets and no one calls you a "high roller" they call you the janitor) this "high roller" didn't own a car. So I drove for 2 out of 5 days while he ran errands for himself and Vanessa, he picked up his dry cleaning, brought Vanessa's cell phone in for service, etc while he was supposed to be training me.
This particular idiot was a hot mess. He lied to customers by telling them that he was a Verizon employee (not true, A.M.I. Marketing is a contractor for Verizon no one there is a Verizon employee). He told people that they had to let him look into their account or Verizon would penalize them, and he would fix their service problems right away that someone would be out very shortly to examine their problem. When questioned how he was going to fix their problem he replied "Who cares, they aren't a sale so keep moving".
Vanessa is another hot mess. Their website says she was a missionary and what she was teaching those people I hope they soon forget. She is a liar and a manipulator. She smiles in your face but behind that smile is a blood sucking money hungry snake in the grass who's ready to chew you up and dispose of you when you aren't making her money. She gets fatter while her employees starve. She told me I would be reimbursed for my gas for driving in 2-3 days. That was 3 weeks ago and I have yet to see a check. I was there for 1 week and she called me "Racheal" my name is Rebecca. When I made my first sale she suddenly remembered my name and wanted to go out to eat, naturally I declined.
They hire young college students with no experience because these individuals tend to also not have the experience of dealing with an obvious scam. One young man was hired after he fell asleep in the interview! They have no standards for who they hire it is a revolving door and in 2 weeks I saw about 10 people get hired, they were all under 24 and naive.
After over 100 hours of work I have not received a paycheck. I will be handing out flyers to all of the companies in the A.M. I territory telling them to beware because if they lie to their employees they will lie to their customers. I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau because they have given me 3 dates for when I will get paid all of which are lies. They aren't going to pay me for my 3 sales and they will not get away with it.
