I was looking for a job online using career builder. I received an email saying a qualified for an interview and to come in. When i showed up at the office building in metro center nashville, i felt i was way underdressed compared to everyone else there.
I come from a poor working class family, i've never owned a suit, or any formal dress. I had on cords and a button up shirt. The interview went well and i didn't think i would hear back because of the way i was dressed, even though i tried to dress up. Well then i receive a call that i had qualified for a second interview and was very surprised and excited.
The second interview was being in the field. I had to buy new dress shoes, pants, shirts, belts, socks, etc. It seemed like the people i was with were having a hard time selling the product. But i knew i could do it. The first three days were considered training that i would automatically get $100 for.
Training came and went, and i felt pretty comfortable going door to door. I did pretty well and one day i sold the most product of the day, something we called being the "HIGH ROLLER!" and supposedly i made $250 that day in commission. Then it was up and down from there sometimes selling some, and other times "rolling a goose egg"
After two weeks i thought i had a little over $550 coming to me. At the beginning of the first week i got wind of the secret plan to move to kentucky and start tek marketing going b2b "business to business" Jason wanted me to come with the company. And at first i agreed to go, no one besides five people in the company knew we were moving until two days before the last days in nashville. (huge red flag) i still hadn't been paid and didn't want to leave my friends and family on a whim. So i didn't go.
Ive never been paid, Jason told me on the phone that he sent the check, but took down my address (as if he didn't already have it) and said he would resend it. It never came and i haven't been able to get back in contact. I called one of the people that used to work there to find out if he got paid, he said Jason reluctantly paid months later after his mom got on the phone threatening him with the bbb. I go on this website and i searched his name and tah dah! There it was with a complaint about how another person almost fell for it. I need money, we worked 6 days a week mon-sat 9-10 hours a day.
