I purchased a 1993 honda civic from ugly duckling/drive-time in oct of 1999. The sale person told me the car would only be finance for 24 months. That was the first lie. Next they told me if i referred someone, i would get a 150 off my next payment, lie.
I was told that the person had to ask for the same sale person and then i had to come in and fill out some form in the same day. I got tired of the never ending payments and told them to pick up the car. They wouldn't. This was in aug. I finally decided to try and pay it off. That's when they started talking about coming and pick it up. Keep in mind this car started out being $8500 dollar with 90,000 on it.
My payments ended at the end being $195/month. I calculated and i paid over 16,000 dollars for a 93 honda. I sent my last payment in on sept. 30, and they called me that day and said that if i didn't have it end by 6:30, i would have to pay all the back interest. They are rude and they are deceiving. Do not and i repeat do not ever purchase i car from them.
