Promised a modification and took our money told us to TRUST them and didn't do anything at all

We hired this company to help us out with a modification with our mortgage company. We paid them $2,200.00 up front. We were told not to make any payments or even contact the mortgage company.
So we didn't as we were told by The Law Office of Brett Margolin, trust us we can get you a good deal and this could take up to 6 months to completely process we have worked with your mortgage company and have excellent executive contacts and can appeal to them for any re-re-review.
Received an e-mail from the law office stating that we did not qualify for the Obama House Modification that the mortgage company was going to do an in-house modification.
I would call or e-mail them everyweek for an update. I was told 2 more weeks. I was told to take the knife out of the Legal Assistants back.
Well then all of a sudden in January I received a call and the legal assistant wanted me to hear some good news, so she called the mortgage company number and behold the message said that you were approved for the in-house modification (which is just restructure of your loan, where they will take your behind payments and add to the end of your loan).
We ended up paying more on our monthly payments and that is just on the first loan. Have not heard anything from anyone regarding the 2nd loan. We were told from them that this is a good deal and at least you will not be going into forclosure.
I sent the Law Office and e-mail stating how disappointed I was in the whole process and that we were not happy with the so called modification that they seemed to be a good deal. I received a call from one of the other assistant and he was going to forward the e-mail onto one of the partners.
Come and behold never heard another word from them. I did call them again and I was told that he will get back with me and of course no return call.
I did leave a message asking for our money back and I wanted a return call from them. Will I get one. Probably not, but I am not going to give up. What a totally rip off Attorney's office they are... 50 years experience what a bunch of bull.
