This is to inform you of the Brett Margolin Law office. I was about 1 month behind on payments and looked for a loan modification. I contacted them as they appeared to be legit and they said based on my hardship that I was qualified. I paid them almost $2,000 and then they kept asking me to send them more documents over a period of time. They told me my payments would be figured back in to my modification so don't worry about them now and the person I spoke with even gave me an esitmate of what my payments would be. (although they deny all this even telling me I was qualified). After about 5 or 6 months of this, and me trying to get in touch with them leaving messages and e-mails, they said that I was not qualified and wanted to know how much money I had saved to buy back into the loan. I spoke with the attorney directly and he just talked out of both sides of his mouth and refused to refund my money as their money back guarentee promised since they didn't improve my financial situation but instead put me over $8,000 behind and in foreclosure. After finding a reputable agency to work with, I spoke with the loan company and they told me that I was denied a modification over 5 months prior. Since I didn't apply for the qualification, it only stands to reason that someone would have had to apply for the qualification. I hope that this helps if you are considering using them. Don't!
