I opened an starter acct for my teenage daughter which was to be linked to my acct in the event an overdraft occurred. Needless to say the accts were not linked and she was slammed with $347 in bank fees for a $8.32 Mcdonalds debit.
The bank even charged her $15 to transfer $0.03 from her savings acct twice. The second time there was nothing in the savings acct but $0.03 was deposited, as so called interest, to charge another $15.
I spoke with the bank manager, Frank, and he advised me he would not take off the fees. I have spoken with customer service for both National City and PNC with no results.
The acct has now been sent to collection and her credit ruined even before she could get any established.
