Almost a year ago my mother co-signed for me a 2006 dodge durrango or so thats what we thought happened!!! The lady who use to work there and her husband who is still there got me and my mother-in-law to sign some papers and after we asked several times was she just the co-signer we were told yes and thats what we believed. The beggining of this month I filed bankruptcy and so I was going to put the durrango on there come to find out all the papers i signed they threw away and only kept what my mother-in-law signed. I also paid a 1000 in cash as my down payment and they put that in her name as well after i gave them the money so come to find out the truck is in her name she isnt the co-signer she owns the truck and thats messed up they lied and took advantage of the both of us. My mother-in-law is unemployed, on SSI and cant help in any way and my husband got laid off is there anyway you can help?
