Directv promised me that I would receive a free HD DVR after six months from my request and when I called after waiting an entire year to order one they told me that I was not eligible for an upgrade and would have to pay $99.00. I pay them over $160.00 a month for my service and have been a loyal customer with an A credit rating for over three years. They called my mother-in-law who is with Time Warner and offered her a free HD DVR along with all kinds of reduced fee programming. I am very disappointed with DirecTV and definitely would not recommend them to anyone! They do not keep their word! Also when we bought a new TV and their installer came to hook up our service, he drilled a hole in the middle of my solid oak floor instead of close to the wall where it wouldn't be as noticeable. I called them and they never sent anyone out to look at it. Now when if I move the TV to another location, I have a hole in the middle of my floor.
