I have been a Direct-TV customer for years. I even recommended them to a friend. I recently upgraded to HDTV and the contractor made no effort whatsoever to hide the cables, which are in plain view outside and in my basement. The wires are hanging loose and unsupported on the joists, right in an area where I was planning on putting in a ceiling. Upon complaining the first time I was told that that I would be called back in 20 minutes. That never happened. I called again, only to find out that for a fee the technician would rectify the problem.
