My teenage daughter and her friend used a Bank of America ATM machine inside Emerald Mall near the bank. The ATM machine did not give her the $40.00 she wanted from her Bank of America account. The female bank employee that hey approached was beligerent with the girls, her friend stated to call the Bank of America phone number to place a claim. Since her friend works in the Customer Service Dept. Of Bank of America, the girls thought there would not be any problems in retrieving the money that was not given to her but still charged to her account as a withdrawal.
Bank of America refused to give my daughter back her money. So her girlfriend spoke to her supervisor at Bank of America and it was stated that she and my daughter should make the phone call to customer service together to discuss this incident. Even after a customer service representative who watched my daughter not get her $40.00 but was still charged a withdrawal, Bank of America stated that the machine did not make a mistake.
How the h*ll do you fix this one? We now have banks stealing from customers at the ATMs even with a Bank of America customer service employee watching the transaction that was charged to a customer's account but still did not receive the funds from the ATM machine?
