I placed an order on 6/29/09 for a monitor and paid $549. Within 4 days the monitor had a promotional discount of $110 off. I called dell and they transferred me about 10 times and every person gave me the run around. I heard 'we don't have a pricing policy' and 'if we could do that i would be the first one to help you'.
They claimed that since their promotions are always changing they can't honor them. Well, when I placed my order there was NO promotion going on at all and now 4 days later there is a promotion.
I can understand that with computers and laptops they will have promotions like 'free printer' or 'free memory upgrade' and of course they can't just send free memory to people. And there promotions on computers and laptops are always changing, one week its one thing and the next week its another thing... But the value of their promotions are always about the same dollar amount.
WELL in my case there was no promotion at all when i placed my order and 4 days later there is an instant savings... Come one dell. This is not right. I cannot find anywhere on their site about this so called pricing policy or a reference to a lack of a pricing policy. Do the right thing here
