I b ought a 2008 Dodge Hemi from Bill Buckner Dodge in Emmett Idaho last summer. I paid cash for my truck and in that cash payment included the cost of my registration, as well as the taxes for the truck. About 6 months after buying my truck, I still had not received my registration or license plates. I called Buckner Dodge to find out what happened and I was informed that the owner of the dealership had died and my paperwork had just been put aside and forgotten about.
So the lady said to me that she was going to send me a check made out to the Nevada DMV for all of the taxes on my truck and I would be responsible for the registration. Unwilling to argue about it I said ok. When I received the check in the mail to the DMV I took into DMV and registered my truck. Not only was the check over $500.00 short of the taxes that I had paid Buckner Dodge when I paid cash, the check bounced for those $2300.00 in taxes. I have repeatedly contacted the dealership and they have assured me that it would be taken care of.
I have recently moved to Colorado and I tried to register my truck here and they said that Nevada has a hold on my registration because of unpaid taxes. I paid them that money and they have written the DMV a bad check in which the DMV is holding me responsible for. I am a single mother of an autistic son and Bill Buckner Dodge just stole over $2800.00 from me and I would like some justice in this matter but Buckner Dodge has gone out of business and I am no longer able to contact anyone concerning this matter. If anyone Knows of something I can do to get this matter resolved please contact me.
