I made an appointment a week in advance to have my truck serviced. I took off from work the morning of 11/12/07 to bring my truck. The attendant filled out some paperwork then took the keys and said they would call us when the work was completed.
In the afternoon the Service Manager Dean * (Last Name Unknown) called my wife and said that because the truck was not purchased there they would not service it. My truck is a dodge and the dealer (Southland Dodge) services the same make. I filled a complaint with Dodge corporate and asked if this was there policy that dealers can refuse autos that were not purchased with them. I was assured that this was not policy and they would check into it. Dodge Corp then proceeded to call the dealer (Southland Dodge) and spoke to the Service Manager. He told them that he would not service my truck because it was not purchased there. I was told by Dodge Corp that they would file a complaint and see what they could do.
I am still in utter shock that the dealer can refuse to service dodges that are not purchased with them. I need some resolution to this I do not care how long it takes.
